Construction of a school in Kenya together with the organisation ATKYE in the Malindi area (approx. 120km north of Mombasa). Many eucalyptus and mango trees currently grow on the flat ground, which covers 22 800 m2.
The project foresees the construction of 4 buildings with 12 classrooms, 1 building to be used as a kitchen and canteen, 2 dormitories and a football pitch. The school should house 200 students (male and female) that either have been orphaned or who come from poor families.
The general idea consists in creating a modular metal structure, which can be used for all the required functions, with the sole variation of using plasterboard for plugging.
